Course Content:

The course includes a rigorous assessment conducted by City & Guilds to evaluate participants’ proficiency in chainsaw operations. The assessment comprises:
- NPTC Unit 201: Maintenance of the chainsaw and cross-cutting techniques.
- NPTC Unit 202: Felling and processing of trees up to 380mm, including branch removal, cross-cutting felled trees, and handling hung-up trees.
Prerequisites:
- Experience: Basic chainsaw knowledge is helpful but not mandatory.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Participants must have a hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, and chainsaw protective clothing.
